is now over! Thank goodness for that!  As some of you may already know from postings in another thread, I wiped out my computer on Friday night because it was time to 'clean up' a few things. I had planned on spending Saturday and Sunday reinstalling, etc but... it did NOT turn out that way at all.... no siree! The main problem was not being able to get connected to the net, so I had to drag out the laptop in order to come on line, although I almost couldn't connect with that either, but I figured that one out...lol Well, my dh swooped in this afternoon and fixed me up, so now I'm happy to announce that I'm back on my trusty desktop! ;D Now the only problem I have left is the fact that also on Friday night, a power outage screwed up my satellite receiver and now I'm looking at a black and white picture with fuzz and colored lines all through it.  But, a new receiver is on the way, so hopefully that will clear up that issue. Needless to say, for those of you who are waiting on me to read your chapters, I didn't get that done yet, but I will get busy on that again soon... that is between getting my computer all set up again. I sure hope everyone else had a better weekend than I did! |

Wow! I feel bad for complaining that I had to go out of my house and do...*Gasp*...fun things. My sister, that I haven't seen in three years, was in town and we did lots of fun things. I usually don't like busy weekends, but it was good to see her and meet my new nephew. Great to hear you got your computer stuff figured out.

Thanx God it's over, Tina  . Computer problems are never fun  I wish I had the strength to clean out mine. I have too many folders and subfolders for things I don't even know why I still have but don't have the guts to let go of just in case I need them someday  Yep, I'm a hoarder of all things  |

Yep, I stole Jo's word.  Well, at least you had fun Holley. That's always a good thing! I know what you mean, Val. I didn't want to do mine either, but I decided it was time. This time I am going to make a proper backup of my whole PC (one GREAT feature of Vista Ultimate), and then I'll never have to completely wipe it out again unless I change some major on this computer or get a new one. I really HATE the hundreds of updates you have to install after restarting your computer from scratch! Besides all the other installing that needs to be done, it's a REAL PITA!

Yay, Tina! I'm so glad to hear the pc is better and the satellite is on the mend!!! I admire your bravery in cleaning it out. I'm in my laptop now, taking my Sealgaire pics so I can wrap it up (FINALLY) and then I have no excuses! (well, except fear and common sense)

Y'all crack me up! Well, I have been getting all my updates for two days and there were a LOT of them... ack! lol I haven't done any major installing of programs yet, though. I want to make sure most of my updates are installed first. I've been lazy lately, so I'm taking it pretty slowly.  lol
