So only 14 days to go before kick off and the whole country is buzzing with excitement. I'm not a soccer fan but hey I'm feeling the buzz now. The atmosphere is phenomenal.
I wish you were all here to welcome RL eye candy.
Team Australia arrived yesterday in OR Tambo International but they were whisked away from their private airport terminal before their female fans could tear off their knickers. Karima and Jo let me know who your fav hotness is from the Aussie boys and I'll go stalk them for you. They're staying in the Davinci Hotel, in Sandton down the road from my work so I'll sneak out during my lunch break and go snap a few pics. That's if I can get past the security there ;D
The Samba Boys just landed damn, wish I was there to welcome that Ronaldino. Yeah baby, Team Brazil is already feeling the African Heat.

Val, I wouldn't have a clue. The only footy I see is in accidently passing the sport on the news in passing! I bet karima will know some though. ;D

Soccer, not a fan but my former math teacher is OBSESSED lol if it were soccer season we didn't have to worry about having class because he would be streaming lol

Finally someone who at least has some idea abt soccer ;D And ladies the point is not to know soccer but to go crazy over all the delish eyecandy ;D I know nothing abt soccer too but all the hotness coming into the country is enough to get me excited . The thought I might just run into Ronaldino or David Beckam is enough to get me through the day ;D |

Did David Beckham get chosen for our final team?  I think he might have got his final cap already because he's a bit older now, but I'm not sure. Unfortunately, the England team is made up of really weird looking guys. I mean, Wayne Rooney and Peter Crouch anyone? *shudder* To explain, by the way, I love football, but I'm not remotely patriotic, so I'm just generally excited it's the World Cup, and I'm looking forward to the early stages. Totally jealous Val, I can't believe you're so close to it all! ;D *edit* Oh, and to start an age old argument, it's football, not soccer.  |

Nope, not football! Looks like I may have to google some of those guys so I can see for myself! I promise to post some hotness later. Amy-DB was chosen for the national squad but he got an injury of some sort and he's out of the game, but apparently he was asked to participate in some role or other in the world cup and he'll def be here. I think he might be doing something for the opening ceremony. Which I'm going to miss BTW. It starts at 4pm and that's when I finish work so I'll only catch it at 4:45pm or so. Did you hear Shakira and Freshly Ground's world cup song? It's off the hook. And their music video is apparently the 1st 3D music video to be ever made. How's that for awesome? Freshly Ground is my fav local group. I'll post some links to their songs if anyone's interested. |
