MMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
(That's the tornado siren).
Yeah, there was a tornado yesterday in STL (St. Louis). It ripped down on West County Mall, which is...southwest of the city itself.
My mom, being the good mom she is, was buying me some different khaki pants for my uniform, which were at American Eagle. In the mall.
They had everybody huddled into the corner of Dillard's, which is where the sell purses, I think.
Only an hour south, my stepdad and I were watching Fox 2 news broadcast of the whole thing, which included an amazing shot of Market street (downtown, skyscrapers, etc.) being ripped apart. Well, not really, but it was so rainy, you could only see two feet in front of the camera.
The tornado touched down at West County Mall supposedly, and the storm went northeast towards Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, at about 40 mph (64 kph). I'm not sure if it stayed a tornado for that long, though, the windspeed was at 60 mph (96 kph) after a few minutes.
All through this, I was texting my mom, who was totally unfased by the whole ordeal. I was all "MOM, A TORNADO JUST TOUCHED DOWN IN YOUR PARKING LOT!!!!" And she was all, "All I hear is people talking?"
Later I found out she was in South County Mall aka Westfield Mall, nowhere near West County.
So I freaked out for nothing.
Oh but get this, these were the skies over De Soto (community I live in) during the furious storm up north.
