My dad.

As you guys know, today was Easter. (, go Jesus!)

Well, yesterday my mom's family came down as a birthday/Easter celebration, and we had cake and ice cream and crap.

But, TODAY I went to my grandmother's home for my dad's side celebration, and guess who showed up?

Yeah, my dad.

This might not that surprising to you all, considering it was his mother's house, but if you knew my dad, it would be a humongous feat. He has gone to a family event in years, the last time I saw him was four years ago...

So, in other words, I was pretty POed. He acted like nothing had changed, like I was the little kid he dropped off and never spoke to again. He acted like he was my father, which he is not. Greg, my stepdad is my father now, even if we aren't related by blood. He is more of the father figure than my read dad was or will ever be.

I couldn't believe him, and still can't. :\

Just thought I'd share some thoughts with you all.

Good for you, Sawyer! Just because someone donates DNA doesn't entitle them to your respect. Respect is earned, and not enough parents realize that. You sound like you have your head wrapped around things pretty well, and I'm sure your step-dad is very proud of the young man you've become.

Pay attention boy! I have no clue what the deal is with your nails, but BOTH my thumbnails have been completely removed and it's painful and annoying to type right now!

I didn't have a big toenail from when I was seven till when I was nine.
And both of my toenails are infected and bleed. Yay!

You should see a doctor about that if you haven't. I also have horrible, ingrown toenails, but it isn't as bad as having it affect your HANDS. It's pretty crippling at times.

They're healed now. :\ But trust me, don't ever peel the skin on your toes.
