Except I couldn't submit it seeing it isn't 'my' castle. Or if I did I couldn't win with it. I'll go take some photos when I have the game open. The only shots I've taken so far is of the stable area I put on. (Sideways garage)  Before I did the driveway in stone or changed the colour of the place to a more medieval type stone. At the bottom is my defult 'cobblestone' road which I can't find in my downloads to get rid of it. I tried to attach it to the house, but that wasn't working so good. Some weird triangles happened that I couldn't get rid of so I had to leave it unatched, but put some steps from the existing level to the stable roof. I thought I might put some potted plants and a chess set on it and make it usable.  I don't think the gap is too noticeable when looking at it normally because of hilly bits, trees etc. I had to get in with Tab to see it. |

It was originally white and up on a hilly bit, didn't seem to wreck much flattening the lot. There is a funny bit on one of the front towers, but it's also not where it gets seen much. I've changed it to 3 kinds of brown now. I'll open the game and see what you think. I might make the towers brown yet too.

Well, you have room, you could put a tree in front of the gap. Using move objects is a good way to get one to go there. |

Well here is where I am up to. Still not sure if I should change the colour. It was origannly all white except an area at the front. I've done it in 3 different brick colours. Photobucket is still being a pain so one is all you get.  I was lucky there was just room for that driveway and stable/garage on the left. |

That's cool! It almost makes me want to try to build one...lol. I've never tried to build a castle before.

Sealgaire was my first. There was a LOT of trial and error to make it livable. I used to just download them from others and tweak them to fit my needs.

LOL... tweaking is the TICKET! Hey, maybe it could be a 'tweaking challenge'. You could pick a castle that you want 'tweaked' into being livable and have everyone make changes to it. EDIT: Never mind, I see you've made the thread. This could get interesting. |
