I backed up my game, uninstalled Roxie, took out my hacks and put it on....AL. *Play jaws music* And .... It worked! Now to try and get all the cc to show So far only recolours, walls, floors, clothes, hair and terrain is showing, no objects that use a mesh, or building items. I went into the new hood Beladonna Cove(sp) And one house there is friends with both the good and bad witch so I got them to come over and turned them into witches There seems a fair bit to it, they have to study and make ingredients before they can do anything. Now you have to put yours on!

You're so brave.... *sniff* Well, I think I'll wait and see if you get your objects back before I take the plunge! I wonder why that is? Very strange.... Make sure to update any hacks you may have to the AL versions if there are any and update CEP, if you use that. Of course CEP only really deals with recolors that EA didn't make recolorable, but maybe if you have the pre-AL version, it could mess with objects. I don't know.... Glad you're having fun with it so far!

I did another restart and it looks like all my cc is there. I was reading the Patch thread over at Boolprop and saw that there is some cc concern over things showing up with AL. Of course I have so much it's hard to know Now to patch or not to patch There are two out already. That seems fast for EA. Maybe taking Roxie out fixed up all those suckyRom conflicts and it may work fine...visions of the FT patch headache come to mind. Now to see what bugs I have. I really hope my FT aspiration bug hasn't come back. I had a MATY fix for that, which is of course out now. I uploaded the new CEP (If Iuse that? cc adict remember. I have a few recolours in that 10,000 files ) The recolours seem to be working fine. It mentions simPE on the MTS page for CEP...not sure if I understand that. I guess that is for making recolours. I can't see me using simPE for anything but cloning a sim or trying to save something..stuff saying in the blurb in simPE such as "Can damage your game and computer" scares me! Especialy as I am as techy as a paper bag. So I didn't really know what components to install in CEP so I just left it all ticked as they had it. So my stuff is back...when are you instaling?

Yea, the only thing I every use SimPE for is cloning sims, changing a few characteristics, etc, and of course I spent DAYS and WEEKS once putting all my CC hair into the correct color bins... And maybe one or two other things, but I NEVER touch anything I don't understand but... also as long as your hood is backed up, you can't really hurt a thing...

I wanted to try simPE, too, but that message scared the bejeezus out of me! After just having to reinstall after my crash, maybe I'm too paranoid, but I'd love to have a way to clone a sim. One queston, if you clone a sim, can you use the clone to replace the in-game sim? I would think they would look the same, but no relationships would clone too, would they?

You can clone a sim, but you can't replace the orignal with the clone... You are right, no memories or anything. The way the cloning works is, you use the sim surgery option in SimPE and then just export him. The sim then just goes into your saved sims folder. But if you want to package that sim to the exchange, you usually need to recreate him in bodyshop first or people won't be able to use him... Jilly, SimPE cannot hurt anything at all as long as you BACK UP your hoods before using it. If you bork something, jus put your backup hood back in and it's like you never touched it at all... Sometimes the only way (or the best way) to learn something is by trial and error.

Jill, did you see Angel on my simpage? I used simPE to export her and uploaded her from body shop to the exchange. I was the proud of doing that! Technical stuff and me we go back a loooonng way. *glares at computer* I followed a really good tutorial (See my LJ page for the details of my trial!) You could with the clone set him or her with the same level of skills and relationships and not sure what else in simPE so they are more like the original.

If ya know how, you can all sorts of stuff in SimPE. There's buttons and gadgets in there that I wouldn't dare touch!

Unfortunately all sims uploaded to the exchange go into bodyshop as fresh, uplayed simes starting out from scratch.
