Is anyone else experiencing serious darkness because the clocks went back? (I'm assuming they go back everywhere in October, I'm no expert on time zones) The darkness is getting to me because I started my new job this week, my first 9-5, but I feel like a mole or a bat or something. I get up at sunrise, then when I finish work and get the bus home, the sun sets and it's dark. The whole day inside looking at finances makes me feel so....blargh. Mind you, I think it's only something like 8 weeks to christmas and that cheers me up. Oooh, and the smilies have also reminded me, I may even go to my hallowe'en party tomorrow as a pumpkin. Had that orange t-shirt for years without using it haha. And, with it being hallowe'en weekend; 3 years together with my boyfriend on Sunday! ;D Lets hope that this year it doesn't rain ALL day like it did last year. But yeah, despite my incoherant and rambling nonsense, I hope everyone else's lives are going okay. And I'm addicted to roaming round this site already, so thank you all once again for the warm welcome.

Awww, how sweet Amylu! I'm so glad you are enjoying the site... as lonely as it is sometimes. Our clocks haven't gone back here yet. I think they are supposed to this coming Sunday, though. I do know what you mean! When the time goes back here, it also throws me off and messes me up for quite a while. Congrats on the three-year anniversary! I hope you hae a great Halloween this year and a great day/night today/tonight.

Yes, our clocks don't go back until Sunday as well. It is difficult for me too because i have two small boys who don't understand why its dark already. I need to find EXTRA fun things to do inside. Congrats on the anniversary and see you around DD.

Well being the upside down, back to front Aussie that I am, I have to say we don't move clocks here in Queensland at all as we are only one of two states here that does not have daylight saving and we want to keep it that way. Alsoit's Spring and there are flowers and birds rather then pumpkins .. and we don't celebrate Halloween either. So errr yeah, could I be any more different? But I have heard of the Autumn(fall) and winter blues from not enough sunlight in the northern hemisphere. I think you need to get out in the sun on the weekend Amylu. Hope you have a great three year anniversary and that the sun shines all day!

@tina: I'm sort of wandering around the site and leaving posts and things, it's nice to have more sims-people to chat to. The strangest thing about the clocks is that at 6am my body-clock still thinks it's 7 and I jolt awake thinking I've missed my alarm; not helpful. I'm so looking forward to this weekend, sunlight and holidays, yay! ;D holley: I guess reading and playing inside doesn't have the same attraction as a fun garden for two young boys in winter does it? Poor you, I hope they still have fun when it gets dark. I've been reading your CtoF challenge, so even if I'm just lurking round, I'll see you round DD. ;D @jo: Haha, you Aussies and your back-to-frontness! One of my lecturers at uni last year was originally from Queensland, and he doesn't get anything about the british winter; hallowe'en and guy forks night, the snow at christmas, all that lot; then of course when he visits home it's almost mid-summer. I'd love for this weekend to be nice, I want to have some time in the park all wrapped up and a nice meal out. *prays to the weather gods to hold off the english rain*

It's a real shock to go from an Australian summer to an English winter and back again. I only did that once, once was enough!

Our clocks go back next weekend, too, and for us in Ohio USA, it's the same way - wake in the dark and get home in the dark. As if the winter wasn't depressing enough! It takes me a good 2 weeks to get my body used to the difference! (I'm slow - most folks claim it only takes 1!)
Happy Anniversary, Amylu! Three is a magic number & I hope it is for you & your sweetie!
The good news (at least for DD) is that this is the season things pick up around here! No one wants to go out in the crappy weather, so we all stay home and sim and chat!

Hope it's not too bad for you when the clocks go back. I like how it gets dark early for Hallowe'en, but I'm still waking at 6am, even on the weekend, so I know what you mean about it taking forever to get used to it all.

LOL... it's pretty rough on me for a week or two. My poor old body just can't take it. Today it's all dreary and rainy here. It's quite depressing. lol

What do ya know? We forgot to set our clocks back last night! Now I'm thinking it's later in the day than it is.
