Wow, I actually used a title that Tina doesn't have to change to match the subject. I'm in a crappy mood. *heads up* Ugh, my eyelid is swollen to about twice it's size, and my idiotic, lethargic (spends about 40 hours a day sleeping) mother doesn't seem to care enough to suggest to actually take me to the doctor. *gasp* lucky me. All she suggests is, let's give you some Ibuprofen, and some left over Amoxosilin. wonderful first day of school. i get called 'the mean gay', my eye lid is swollen shut, and I have to scramble to find people who are actually uncool enough to talk to me. -__- In the mean time, everybody is pushing me to go out for Cross Country and in the future, track. I don't even like running. Last year, I hurt myself too many times. Everybody thinks that I should just follow in my dad's footsteps, because he was an amazing runner. SO WHAT? Does it look like I even know who my dad is anymore? Those people don't have any right to even discuss my dad in front of me like he is some kind of god. It's not fair. The only sport I am considering trying out for is Tennis. Or Archery, maybe gun-handling. Not to mention my stupid raging hormones. God, I could snap some individuals necks right now. All I need next is for my mom to scream at me for an hour or so.

Sorry Sawyer, I only just saw your post. Sending you a ((((Big Hug)))) too. First things first, why is your eye swollen? Did you get punched, stung, what? That makes a difference. Can you ring up the Dr yourself? I don't know why your mum is sleeping so much, maybe she is unwell herself? About your dad, they should not be bringing him up. I think the best is to try and remain calm (I know not easy!) And tell them nicely but firmly that you are not doing track and that is the end of it.

No, it's not from anything like that, just swollen. It's my upper eyelid, and it's probably either an infection, or an allergic reaction. :/
I have no clue why she is sleeping so much. She said she had a headache, but who takes a four hour nap fora headache. Maybe I should be worried for her.
I have no clue what to do for track or cross country. I know I'm not fast. Jeez, I was almost last everyday. "Uh Huh, but you improved." Really? because my mile time decreased by 2 minutes because of your stupid coaching! Jeez, gosh. I need to cool down.

Poor Sawyer. Being a kid really sucks sometimes. I suggest NOT handling guns with those raging hormones! Lol! You might have a stye in your eye. My son got them all thru high school, mostly because he couldn't keep his fingers out of his eyes. Allergies kept him rubbing them all the time, and he kept getting styes. They sell over the counter stuff for that - the brand we used was acatually called "STYE" I think. I'd like to reiterate the non-gun handling thing. Archery sounds cool, and Tennis was always a lot of fun. You can never control what other people do or say, but you can control if you let it affect you or not. (no one can make you feel bad without your permission - Princess Diaries! Lol!) Your mom might be suffering from depression, which makes you want to sleep alot - but her first concern should be about you. If you have a school nurse, you might pop in & have her take a look at that eye. If they get jittery enough, they might yell "PINK EYE" - those magical words that will get you sent home. Then you won't be allowed back until you've seen a doc. Sneaky & underhanded, but somehow I think that could work for you! Just think of us as your evil adoptive mommies!

Ahahaha, I doubt the people who give permits would think twice before stamping a big giant DENIED on my permit. My mom suggested that. OHMYGAWD PRINCESS DIARIES QUOTE! *I think...* I severely doubt that she's depressed. My terrifying guess would be that we are both Diabetic. It runs deep in her family. And I think in my dad's family. I am quite often lethargic, to where I sleep fourteen hours a day...(Jo and Tina smash me over the head with frying pans). And, I have spells where all I can do is just lay on the floor, until I muster up the brain power to move again. Uck. This sucks. Either, I've got a stye, which I have no clue what that is (explain Jilly? pretty please?) or I'm diabetic, or I have no clue what the heck is wrong with me. Heehee, I think I will go to the nurse tomorrow.

Well now you got me worried Sawyer. A swollen eye is one thing (Unless you poured farm chemicals in it then I'd be jumping up and down) But suspected diabetes is another. That is serious stuff. It sounds like both you and your mum should go see a Dr pronto and get some blood sugar levels done.
I second Jill about the guns, and even the archery if you are feeling like that. Are you getting enough iron and folic acid? I wouldn't be doing any track or tennis either until you get yourself checked out. Ask your step dad to make an appt and to take you if your mum can't or wont. I had a folic acid deficiency at 12/13 due to the meds I took. I just wanted to lie around all the time and spent a lot of time in the sick room at school.

Jill suggested what I was going to say about your mom depressed and about your eye. A stye is merely an eye infection that is usually caused by a blocked hair folicle: www.ultimate-cosmetics.com/stye.htmI've had a couple in my day and I know they are painful as heck. Jill also said what I was going to say about a gun-handling class. Jill... are you really me?

Sawyer... That sucks!
I think all parents of teenagers sleep alot, but if it's alot ALOT then it may not be good. If you think it is diabetes, go go go to the doctor. That's pretty important, *crosses fingers* sure hope not. I like Jilly's idea of bringing up pink eye. it is an evil masterpiece!! Ugh, and those people who want you to get into track, well blech on them. Hormones, pshh, get used to 'em. Just have a good time in school, just try!

Ohkay, I was just overreacting with the diabetic thing, I realize now. But my eyeLID is swollen larger than the day before. It's covering up my vision now. I'm asking to go to the doctor. Jo, I have no clue how to even measure those. Jill and Tina, I looked at the link, but mine is on the upper side of my eye.

They are pesky little suckers. Jill - I mean, Tina - I mean I (tee hee!) I've had a few, but my poor son had them all the time. Sometimes they were inside of his upper eyelid. To put that medicine on it, you have to kind of roll your eyelid up and back. Not fun, but SO worth the effort. My migraine meds knock me out for a good 4 - 6 hrs, but without meds, I couldn't nap if my life depended on it. Carry out the evil, underhanded school nurse plan. A teen must use every weapon in their arsenal to take care of themselves when their folks aren't doing it. My mom spent my high school years in bed, going thru a terrible menopause. She doesn't even remember it now. I was pretty sure I was going to have to kill her at the time. We got your back, Buddy!

I'm sorry to hear that. I'd suggest taking a multivitamin daily, if you aren't already, if you can. You could be lacking something.
