hi everyone  I know I've been away for a long time, mostly because of school and after that because my graphic card crashed and the repair shop was closed but now everything's fixed and my comp (newly named The Destructor) is happy to have a better card than it previously had. Anyway the point of the thread isn't that. This week I was in New Orleans for a convention in computer graphics. One of the speaker was none other than Will Wright the creator of the Sims and I thought you might like to know how is the guy who got us addicted to a videogame (the conference was about perception and not the sims but it was one of the best!!) Let's just say that he is one of the funniest person I've ever seen! He was doing one joke after another! It was really fun So some people might think let's boycott the sims because EA is crap but I say NO! EA might be crap (though I don't agree  ) but Will Wright is fantastic so are his games |

Wow, that sounds awesome Mae! So, I take it you had a good time in New Orleans? How was the heat and humidity? I'll bet that was quite a change from what you are used to.

mornings weren't that bad. It was like Montreal at 1pm but afternoons were tough!!!!!!! it was so warm outside but it was a beautiful city. Although the Mississipi and the bridge reminded me of Montreal LOL (we have a bridge exactly like that here!?!?!?!?!) And I must say one thing. I was not prepared at all for Bourbon Street. what the heck is that street??? I was scared when I saw it LOL

haha yes probably. Luckily we were 8 when we went on bourbon street the first time. I have to say though I love hand grenades hehe Some day I'll go back and visit everything! I also bought an alligator tooth necklace |

There's nothing like Bourbon Street, that's for sure! Sounds like a great conference! I'd have loved to hear Will Wright speak.

it was amazing jillyson. he talked about how people perceive things. it sounds boring like that but the way he did it, it was great.

I agree Sarie Of course EA thinks about money but who doesnt?? And most of their games are great! They did a boxing game called fight night 4 and the guys who were talking about it played in front of us it was nice They even did a special character : Will Wright was boxing with Mike Tyson LOL Unfortunetelay I haven't seen that part but one my friend said he had hawaian shorts LOL |
