How is your story going?

You're right Jo, elder formal is so hard to find. Nice, comfortable stuff, anyway. There's loads of suits, or funny looking outfits, but not much normality. Hope you're able to find something, I can't wait to see that wedding!

Pixx, I put out chapter 25 a week or so ago, no worries. I read most of the first generation of yours, I was going to wait until I'd read it all to comment, but you update faster than I read!

I always worry about that 7 month break I had with my story after Penny was born, I don't want to forget my sims and suddenly be on hiatus by accident. I am planning and stuff, so I guess it counts as working on it?

Amy, I ended up using adult Maxis clothes on him, which lol I should have seen in the catalogue before I started whining about it. I have the elders wear adult clothes MATY hack, although I notice it only give me some adult clothes. I think he ended up with a base game work type pants and shirt. I was really excited to make that YA argyle sweater I downloaded usable for adult and elder instead, even though I ended up not needing it.

Well the wedding finally got shot. That was hard! Next time I say I want toddlers on little toddler seats tell me to prod myself with a fork! I spent way too much time trying to make a montage of the kids at the wedding and might make another one or two of the reception. I tried and failed at making a gimp montage and went back to what I know, Word! Yep made in Word using text boxes which I insert pictures into. I've got such a lot going on this chapter, but not a lot of main house move along. I think the whole chapter will be lucky to cover half a sim week.

Amy, I do remember one time you had a largish break, but I think most people with plotty stuff do.

...my creativity is bizarre. I haven't been able to write for days, then I uploaded a brief post on livejournal last night, and it's like my brain woke up. I've updated one of my fanfiction stories for the first time in 5 years, I've written 6 A4 pages of story for something that's been in my head for ages, and I've planned out chapter 26 to the end. I should take Mondays off work more often, by the looks of things! ;D I've even been sewing again today!

I meant to reply to your LJ post last night- I'm running way behind on things again. Only because I've been working hard on this update... does that excuse me? How about the fact that I am finished? Only one snag.... the cover! I think I was about ready to take a Tommy gun to Gimp last night.
I lost count of my attempts and tutorials watched on lifting a person from one picture and putting onto another. Although I am quite determined to learn this as it seems to be one of those necessary things to most covers I am quitting for the moment and I think I may just put up a few pictures into a montage on the front. Because I tend to think people would prefer to have the update sooner rather than after a week of me fiddling with a cover.

I tried to do that in Gimp, I ended up with a lopsided Freud and half a Bandura, so you're not the only one! I'm happy to read the update whenever it's ready.

It doesn't help there seems to be as many ways of doing it as there are people using Gimp. Most of my attenmpts ended up with a see through cut out of Salvatore. I did get him over once, but there were these lines I couldn't get rid of.


Edit: Cover is done, I just used a photo and added some text. Now I'm about half way through my edit. ;D

Well I have 12 slides done towards my next chapter, although I've been playing other households the last two days. Some is towards my legacy-by providing children apart from townies to come home off the bus. Not that the prep school kids get any time to play with them as they come home at 5.

Well I did have about 32 pages done. Except I got a better idea for one scene so I decided to reshoot and rewrite some of that, so it's actually less now.

Apart from a couple of sentances mine is no further as I only had 3 1/2 hours sleep last night.
