Much too quiet

Where is everyone? I've been on here for about 40 minutes at 7.43 am my time and not a soul is around. Seems the same for BP. Surely sims 3 isn't keeping people that enthralled and quiet. Or do Americans hibernate all summer?

I did some more to my story last night. I finally got the twins Salvatore and Alissa grown to teen yay! That was a long time coming. Mainly I had to make sure I had all the shots i needed of them as kids first. Least that's been making me write the chapter, however non-funny it may be this time. The second part of this chapter should be, I hope much more amusing then this one.

I spent so much time on it last night, but still only got about five pages more up, as I wanted an Italian word/short phrase and could not find the right one! I must of gone through dozens of web sites and translators, hopefully it is correct lol.

So what are you all up to?

Hey Jo! It sure IS quiet lately. I've been here on and off all day, between Sims 3 sessions. It's good to know you're getting some work done on your story. Not all chapters can be total laugh riots, I guess.

I was thinking maybe we should have a thread such as "How is your story going" BP has one called "How is your legacy going" But I know the other stories outnumber us legacy buff here.

Yeah, I'm up to the last argument now lol. This chapter mainly revolves around Lottie and her teenage angst. Do you ever have sims who seem to lead the plot? After she got that LTW to be a rock star and then I saw the relationship panel and that she isn't even friends with her dad or grandfather I had to use it.

LOL! No, the sims in my story always have to follow what's in MY head. Poor things!

Yeah! Make the thread! My first story was driven by what my simmies did. I had a story outline, but almost everything that happened was based on things they did on their own. It was a lot of fun! This time around, they have to do what I tell them. Much harder, but it's a whole different kind of story, and I don't think randomness would work for it. Some random happenings made it in - Frances the witch was bound and determined to put herself in there!

They are doing what I tell them 95% of the time these days as nearly every shot is set up now. None so far as are hard as those cats of last chapter though!

As for me, at the time you wrote that I was at the grocery store.
Was finally feeling alright enough to go, but when I got there my blood sugar took another plummet. I nearly collapsed, and I still feel very lightheaded.

I haven't been posting much the past few days, because I've been babysitting my nephew for the past 5 days in between feeling ill from the detox diet.

Yeah, there's days where it's too much like work! I'm very guilty of re-using pics because I get tired of the work part and just want to get to the story part!

I could never write a set-up story, I don't have nearly enough creativity for that.

It's not too hard setting up a story if you have it in your head. The most tedious part about a sims story is gathering the screenshots, especially when they are set up and posed. Ack! I do have tons of fun in photoshop though, doctoring some photos to make it look like a sim is doing something they can't really do.

Sue... you are now in my sims 3 game and I don't find your sim boring at all. As a matter of fact, she may trying to get into a bit of mischief.

Thanks Jill, it is rough...for me anyways. My mom and dad are on the same diet (started Monday), and they are not feeling any effects. Maybe because they get to eat more carbs than I get to, since they can eat tomatos; I can't unless I want blisters in my mouth. I just keep reminding myself: it's only two weeks, it's only two weeks...

This is why I worry, because half the time I don't have a clear direction in my head! I did for Fisher and the cats. I actually had that pretty much written before I set up the shots. But half the time I only have vague unconnected ideas and it's hard going.

Sue, that must mean that your simself has never been stuck together with a load of other crazy simselves...lol. I feel bad for you, though, because the simselves are all homeless and, being a coward, you are afraid of the dark and get that moodlet when nightfalls. *sniff*

As soon as I get enough 'footage' in screenshots, I'll be posting our antics for the world to see!

Well lets hope so. I got sick of going back to that restaurant to set up yet another shot because I didn't think of it the time before. I think I sent them back about 5 times!
