He just asked me for help on AIM, it's to do with installing stuff in the sims 3. But then he said he forgot to pack! He's going to band camp I think it's tomorrow. I told him to go pack and get to bed lol.

OH....lol. Well, that's what he's asked me about too. He's downloaded a bunch of crap at Maty and has installed it in the wrong place. I need to know exactly what he downloaded, so that I can tell him where it's supposed to go. Did he happen to explain better to you what he got? If so, I can just reply to his pm and he can get it whenever he comes back.

I think he was referring to that huge download of stuf from the sims store that MATY has. I told him to put on winRar and unzip it to his desktop, decide what he wanted and cut paste to his Downloads folder. Wrong? I wasn't sure as i haven't bothered to do it yet.

Oh yeah, Jo, that is wrong, so very, very wrong! That stuff is all in sims3pack form and in separate folders. All that needs doing after extracting is to double-click on each one and let the launcher install them. Get this straight. NOTHING EVER goes into your downloads folder for this game. I've repeated myself on this in several other threads already. I wish you guys would pay attention because my fingers are getting sore and tired from all this repeating myself everywhere. LOL The downloads folder in the sims 3 is utterly useless for ordinary purposes. ONLY the EADM ever has call to use it. After that, ALL CC goes into ONE BIG FILE called DCcache, which I take to stand for Downloaded content cache. You can no longer see your indiviual downloads except in the launcher. NEVER manually put anything into your downloads folder! It just doesn't work that way in TS3. |

Sorry Tina, you know I would have read it, but my head doesn't retain stuff like that.  Apart from having to be told stuff repeatedly I have to actually do something fairly often to be able to remember it. Bad short term memory is just part of my life. |

It rained a lot. So you'll see the sun and it's sunny and stuff for about 7 minutes then it down pours again and it was the same cycle throughout the weekend.at least i got to go swimming some point during that weekend
