Here I will post a few basic rules for the community. I know…. I know, but we all have to follow rules to keep things less chaotic, right? Check the reply to this post for some useful information that will hopefully be helpful in learning to navigate around and utilize the features of this forum.
Rules:
1. Have fun! Fun is one of the main reasons this forum is here.
2. Be courteous to other members while having said fun.
3. Keep your posts as clean as possible. This is a family oriented forum and proboards prohibits the use of vulgarity and reserves the right to delete any boards that break that rule.
4. NetSpeak: Please use as little of this barbaric form of writing as possible. It REALLY hurts my eyes and makes me feel as if my brain will explode and bleed out through my ears….lol. A few abbreviated words are okay, but try to keep it to a minimum. After all, this is basically a writing forum so you may as well hone your skills by posting in complete sentences in the proper manner.
5. Creating new threads: When posting a new thread, please make sure there is not already another thread in plain sight that covers the issue that you want to discuss. This will cut down on redundant threads while keeping all replies in one place for easier viewing by other members. If you are unsure, the forum has a search feature, which will hopefully help you find what you are looking for.
a. Thread titles: It is a good idea when posting a new thread to make it so that people will have an idea what it is about before entering the thread. So make your subject title count! You are more likely to receive more replies if the subject title indicates what the thread is about.
b. Remember to post your thread in the appropriate category according to the subject. For example; if you want to post something concerning The Sims 2, post your thread in the Sims Stuff category. Or if you want to ask a question about writing, make sure to post it under the Writing category. It will make it much easier to receive your desired replies.
6. Important rule concerning custom avatars is posted here.
