I totally agree with you lilyflower. Alexis should have been the one to stay. With that said, Adam's performance was HOT!! SIZZLE!!

What's the matter, Lilly? You don't like Motown? Motown is some AWESOME stuff! ;D Oh yea, I really liked Alexis too, but like I said before... I don't think she did the song she picked justice and it got her voted off. I actually like Taylor Hicks. He was entertaining to watch on the show, although I haven't gone out of my way to buy his album.

No I don't have a problem with Motown, I'm just afraid some of the contestants will butcher it lol I got nothing against Motown whatsoever! Taylor Hicks....excuse me while I vomit. I'm sorry but I absolutely despise Taylor Hicks, sorry Tina. He had stage prescence but his voice was just okay much like Michael...and I didn't even like his stage prescence much! Thanks for the agreement Crissy!

Well, Taylor wasn't the best singer, but I had fun watching him... hence why I didn't run out and buy his cd. Yea... I know what you mean about the butchering of Motown. It's always a bit scary to me when I think of some of my favorite stuff and having to hear someone else sing it.

I know some guys will do good (anoop, danny and scott will be amazing I'm sure and lil round will be amazing too. I'm a bit scared about the others but still I am excited to see what will happen and I checked some taylor hicks stuff I wanted to know what was the big deal. He isn't my fav singer of all time but I like the bluesy side of him. I would never pay money for his cds but he isn't that atrocious from my point of view but again who am I to judge?? after all I love old and weird stuff

Haha well the whole point of American Idol is to become a famous singer who's records blow the charts. I don't think Taylor Hicks deserved that opportunity.

Aw. I liked Taylor Hicks, too! Although I must confess, I did not buy his CD. I never really like the first CD's by the winners, cuz they have crappy songs written by Idol writers who try to give pop hits to everyone, whether or not they sing pop. (like you said above, they want singles that will fly up the charts, and they pay no attention to the singer's style.) I like to wait until they get to do their own stuff on their second CD. Now, I do believe they've changed that practice with Carrie Underwood, so maybe the future will be brighter for the winners now. Taylor was off the radar for so long for that reason, that people just forgot about him. I imagine the same happened to Ruben & Fantasia - they didn't let them play to their fan base, and poof, they were gone.

I think it's funny how sometimes you don't really hear much about the winner, but instead someone else who got voted off sooner becomes more famous...like Daughtry. I really liked Daughtry on the show a couple years ago and I really like him now. What about Kathrine Mc Vee, or however she spells her name? lol You don't hear too much about her these days.

I heard chris daughtry's song on the radio a while back (can't remember the title, coming home maybe??) but I didn't know about him. I really like his voice. But you are right. it seems most of the time someone else is more popular. Like william hung LOL he is so hilarious!!!
