Tee, speaking of your daughters game...I
ve been meaning to tell you, I recall a while back someone losing all their cc files when EP's were installed. That has happened to me numerously. Well I was online recently (before my computer broke) and I read that if you install EP's and suddenly your CC is missing, that all you have to do is shuffle some things around. Well after reading that, it happened and I went to where my CC was, but there was nothing to shuffle around because it was gone, so I went to the top of the page and went to the option toarrange files by DATE, size, etc and I shuffled the options a few times, then I got out of th folder and came back and the cc was back. The tip also said if shuffling around didn't work, to restart the compuer and that usually works. Just thought you'd like to know that for possible future reference.

Thanks for the info Merci, but it will NEVER happen to me again because I'll NEVER install again without a backup....lol Lynda... I even tried the lot zoning thing too. I moved the sim out of her apartment and then went in on build mode, changed to residential, made some renovations and then changed it back to apartment base. When I moved her in again everything was fine until I clicked on an apartment door to rent one. then the game just froze and crashed.  *sigh* That's why I'm going to try the same thing with my daughter's game to see if it's just happening on my computer or not. It's SO frustrating!  |

I know you probably no this, but I'm going to type it anyway. When you change you're Apt to Residential, you have to completely get out of you're game, and start you're whole game back up for it to take affect. Also when you want to change it back to APTs you have to do the same thing all over again. Did you do it that way?  |

What do mean 'get out of the game'? I did leave the lot and then go back into it. If I have to completely quit the game and then start it up again I didn't do that, but if you have to that, then it is a very ridiculous way for them to make us do that.  My daughter is still playing her game so I haven't had a chance to try it on hers yet. I need to try it on a different lot to see if it's just that lot that is screwy in my game for some reason. The other problems I'm having with that lot are not happening on my daughter's computer either. |

I thought I'd pop back in here to say: Hello everyone! What a lovely morning it is! NOT!  Once again it's raining, warm, and muggy in these parts. It doesn't feel like early January at all. Besides that, Stephanie's car wouldn't start this morning so we had to try to push it up the hill of our driveway so Harley could get his truck out. The reason he needed to go somewhere was to retrieve Stephanie's friend who is stranded somewhere because HER car is broken too! lol She was unable to contact any of her family members so she called us. This is starting out to be a great day all around!  |
