Maxis Makeover Contest Photo Thread

You can if you like Amy. I'm about to go out for a bit, then I'll be back to do school, have lunch and I would try again after that, but feel free to do it if you are awake. I think what I did wrong was remove the spoiler tags and when I it said it was too long, went back and the post had gone. Most times I paste things like that into Word, but of course this time I hadn't. *grumble*

What I did was put the regular makeover numbered as One, two, and so on and then did the dream numbered as Dream One, Dream Two and so on. Coresponding to what I put in the voting area.

Chloe (Curious) Singles - Regular Makeover:

Chloe is Romance and has 3 Nice points, by far the meanest in the Singles household.


They moved into my revamped version of the Maxis-built 91 Road to Nowhere, and the first thing she did was poke Erin Beaker, making me think her look should be a rather hard one.


But after getting a second opinion, and taking into account that she wants to be a Professional Party Guest, I decided to give her a softer, party girl kind of look, and let her bit of edginess show through her hairstyle.


I think she also rocks the "no eyebrows" look!

Edit: The blue hair is (I think) from the Sims Store, and can be found in the "red" section.

Love your make-over for her Lorin, the blue hair suits her, and I didn't even notice she hadn't got eyebrows until you mentioned it, you're right, she rocks that look! And she did the same thing in my game, poked Erin and made her cry!

With my normal make-over I didn't change much, for once I think Maxis got the hair right and I don't want to use all the good hairstyles up in the first few make-overs, so I hope this isn't bending the rules by not changing much.

I always put her in this top, it's like it was made with her in mind. This is the edited AL outfit, as I don't have AL I've downloaded the top as a separate.


She ended up with Nightlife trousers, as I usually put her in Sentate's black jeans, and these are Maxis' closest equivalent. ;D


She's also one of the few sims who can work the dark red lipstick.

For the Wedding make-over, I changed a lot more. The dress is a store item, it's in my game without the custom star so I hope that's ok. And I couldn't resist a bit of a story.

9am on Saturday found Chloe in her room, panicking and trying to breathe deep, calming breaths. The arch had gone up outside and the guests were arriving.


Why was she doing this? How had she ended up in this situation? she asked herself. Well, she had to admit, she knew the answer to the second question.


Trust her to get pregnant with a Family Sim's baby. Trust her to tell Lola, who told PT9, who told Jenny, who told her to get married.
And now here she was. Could she do it? She honestly didn't know....


But just as she began to have second thoughts, she heard his voice outside, talking to the guests.
Unconsciously, her hands fell from her stomach and she grinned. Ah, who was she kidding, she would have ended up with him anyway, he was irresistable to her.
And she needed him with her now, to help with the midnight feeds and the crying; in sickness and in health.
Taking another deep breath, she turned and faced the mirror.


Well, if she was going to get married, at least she looked pretty good, if she said so herself....

So I see Chloe as a real whoohoo machine romance sim.

"Hey there cutie, want some hot alien whoohoo?"

There is no star next to it and no EP symbol, so I believe the blue hair is a straight store item - it is found in the "red" category along with a natural red and a wine color version of that style, so it is not a default replacement. It's in the same group as the hairs on both my Circe makeovers - modified those posts too.

Chloe's antidote to the fear of getting married...


She and Warren having a three-bolt attraction didn't hurt either.




Invited were Lola, the Curious brothers and the Smiths. Ex-roommates Erin Beaker and Kristen Loste definitely were not.

Mine's done. Although I had to completely rethink everything once I got into Strangetown, since for some reason, I always think that the redheaded sister is Lola...

Looking at Lola's Chloe's bio, she enjoys having a good time and meeting new people. The whole woohoo thing is just an added bonus, I guess.

...which is not to say that she's above showing a little skin to give potential new people ideas. I think that shirt is held up with tape, and I don't think you could fit a bra under it without showing, so she must not be wearing one...



Both the hair and the outfit come from the Sim Store.

Now, when it came to the prompt of "Wedding," I couldn't imagine Lola Chloe getting married. Not when there are so many fun things to do and so many new people to meet. But she does like parties.

Although after the way she behaved after one too many drinks at her sister's wedding, I don't know how many more she'll be invited to...

Lorin, I only see the second picture in the "wedding" entry. It looks good, but it's all I can see.

Jo, that is indeed a Store hair, and I wish that outfit came for those of us without AL. I love the look! "I come with my own handcuffs"!

Amy, we seem to have similar ideas. I do like her in that top. I have to ask, though: Who is the Family Sim in question?!

I love your make-overs Esme, that jacket is lovely. And that picture of Chloe dancing on the table is hilarious, Lola looks perfectly horrified!

Sorry guys I must get on with this. I've had a headache off and on now for the last 3 weeks. Maybe I need to change my antihistamine as I think it's bad allergies/sinus. I've set the wedding clothes and that's all. I'm not getting any inspiration.
