Ten lucky sims will win the chance to get a makeover! But wait this is a Maxis Makeover so we will all have to dive to the back of the catalogue, which for some of us is a verrry loooong way... and use maxis content.
There will be five sims from Strangetown and five sims from Pleasantview taking part. The sims from Strangetown have been decided by vote to be:
Jonny Smith
Chloe Singles
Nervous Subject
Circe Beaker
and one mystery sim from the poll.
Each sim will be done in turn with a regular makeover and a themed makeover. I will be drawing names and themes literally out of a hat.
Rules:
1.You may makeover your sim however you like so long as you use Maxis content with no more than 2 defaults or 2 age conversions or 2 items from EPs/Sps you don't have that have been made available for upload or 2 items from Sims stories. Exception being if they don't have a cc star such as some sim castaway clothing shows without a star amongst the BV clothing. If the item has no star it can be considered legitimate game content and does not have to be counted amongst the 2. Sim store items without a star are the same-legitimate Maxis content. Maxoid content such as the run with scissors set may be used but count towards the 2 allowed.
2. Please make a note of any content on your sim that is a default or has a cc star from the above allowed items.
3. Post your Sims makeover pictures to the photo thread that will be put up.
4. The themed makeover must also only use maxis Objects, and items. Except for the background photo rug is you want. Found here with new recolours if you haven't heard of it. skoogy.livejournal.com/9853.html
Your sim may be by him/herself or among other sims. You may pose them or not, have a set up back ground or not. You may interpret the theme given for them however you like so long as you can explain your reasons for it if it isn't clear.
5. Have fun! Refer to the photo thread for rules on the photos. desirablediscourses.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=chosencontests&action=display&thread=3520

To reset a hood:
1. Make sure you have the name of the town on a folder in the neighbourhood folder.
So NOO1 is Pleasantvile
and NOO2 is Strangetown.
Unless you have used those numbers for a custom town in which case give it a different number. If it isn't there at all you can make one. If an old one is there you can remove it to your desktop and make a new one.
2, Go to your installation files. Probably on C drive unless you installed in another place like I did. My path is Program Files(86)/EA Games/ The Sims 2/TSData/RES/UserData/Neighbourhoods. In there you will find all the base hoods including Pleasntview and Strangetown.
3. Open up the town you need and copy all the files then paste them into your new NOO2 or NOO1 folder that you made.
