It looks great Jo! Hiii Mobacys and Wonglepongs! I love all the colours everywhere and the specialised rooms.

I took some pictures of one of my sims, did a lot of decorating yesterday and have been playing around with recolours, but there's still a lot of simming I want to do. Which can only be a good thing, of course!

Kind of funny with Opal being the same age as her alien grand-kids! Do you know who the 'teacher' is? I wouldn't expect you to know since you have only seen her as a child.

I made a start on my MTS entry, anyone here going to enter? So far there has only been about 3 of us who posted back. It's a building challenge where they give you a shell and there are 6 businesses and you pick one for each of the 4 rounds.

I played Chuck and Lucy for awhile -that bed had to go. The animations were terrible! I had a somewhat similar one on legs which still suits. Anyway she goes off to the bathroom and stops just outside the door to go *Oh my gosh I'm naked!* which made me laugh because she'd been naked for at least a sim hour. At least she didn't go out the front door!

I'm thinking of entering that contest on MTS. I want to build a couple of those types of businesses anyway, so I'm thinking I might as well. The thing that's stopping me is the time factor. Is the first lot clean and safe, Jo?

Of course it is Esme, it's MTS. You're not allowed to upload anything with sims etc on there. I even had my school lot come back twice as they detected unused recolours. Those mods are like the cc mafia.

The lot was made with AGS with base game. Jones does that so anyone can enter, although OFB is a requirement for the contest-seeing it is about building businesses. I found a loop hole in her fancy restaurant rules, asked about it and now she is closing it! The loop hole that is!

I'd love it if one or both of you entered. You don't have to be an expert builder and the main shape is set anyway.

I need to catch up on that business building contest, but my internet is going super slowly, I keep having to type stuff out in Word before posting it. But I did manage to upload my stuff to GoS

I'm super happy as one of my favourite creators commented on the chair I recoloured. ;D

And the sim I made to model the hair has turned out to be one of my favourites, I spent today building her a house.

Aw, thanks Jo. ;D I'm really enjoying having a go at making stuff, I'm glad some of it works!

Alien toddler Leo is back in my game. ;D *squee*





I will let him grow to child at some point. He's just so cute as a toddler!

Okay so I said I would get on and finish these challenges and I do mean it. However I'm not going to be writing up stories, except maybe a little for my legacy. I have story trails there that need finishing.

My first project will be my OWBC. Of all my current challenges I think this is closest to being done. I found the start of chapter 13 in Word. Some pictures and a bit of text. I have no idea what happened at that house as I don't think I've played it in, 1, 2 years?? I love those sims but it's terrible to play with the 14 of them and remembering if they have 8 commands and not clicking on certain people. I think I will just do a kind of picspam and call it a chapter, then play and write up more picspam until it is done. I'd like to say I finished it. I don't expect it to get much readership and that's okay. I hardly visit Boolprop these days and no one has commented on anything of mine over there in a really long time. Not even my last Christmas chapter so I'm going to tidy up what I see in Word and add a little more text and call it a chapter. I hope this doesn't sound terrible, I'm just over doing proper updates these days and I doubt many care anyway.

PS This isn't aimed at either of you two, just me saying it aloud. I know you will both read it. I'd like to be held accountable to getting these things done, so please ask and kick me if needed.

because it sounds like you need one. Boolprop hasn't been the same in a while, and I haven't had comments on anything in a good while either. (I can't often log in anymore, and never on my desktop, but I still remember where to find my stuff.) Just remember that the point of the game, and of writing, is to please yourself, so do what is fun for you!

back. It kind of feels like quitting-which I really don't like. So I'm kind of down about that, but this is meant for fun and staging isn't.

I did something towards it today! I found my chapter 12 cover and hand painted that 2 into a 3. Very badly done as I did it by hand with the brush. But it took me just as long to even half figure how to make Gimp do what I wanted as my new version has obviously been designed by a monkey. If I'd known I would have told my tech friend not to update it. I'm still holding out hope of getting Photoshop, dh could only see a $600 version which was way too much, but my friend who was here earlier said she has seen a lite version for $130 and is going to email me a link.

I wish I'd have been quicker with the picture taking or a video as it doesn't show how sweet it all was really. Beautiful beach, sunny day, butterflies and the ladies do autonomous sister in-law family kisses. Well karry to Alice and Lucy to Alice. Which made me stop and think. Karry is married to Alice's brother and Alice is married to Lucy's brother so with my extended family mod that makes them family.

Slideshare closed my account, so I've taken Hypothesis off hiatus and called it done. I finished that nightmare plot that took me over 4 years to do, so I'm happy. I also had all the sims born, even if they didn't reach adult. The best thing with these challenges is to feel happy with what you've done; and whatever you want to do and write Jo, we'll read it. ;D

Yeah, I've noticed that the new version of Gimp isn't as good as the old one, it's not so simple to use any more. I keep trying to Save As, and it won't let me, I need to Export stuff now. *grumble*

The toys above, the alien charisma toy is from Parsimonious and the toy easel is from GoS, in the Christmas in July thread for 2011, it's hard to spot as it's a special gift made for Nymphy for hosting the event.

We all loved your plot Amy. Will we be seeing them grown?

Oh yeah changing a bmp to a jpg was my first taste of the new Gimp. It was for my contest entry. I ended up Googling the answer as I do most things.
But worse, my tool box has gone, I have to find it in the list, the handy brush sizes have gone and I had to spend minutes holding the arrow down to change the size, and all around it's a pain. My guess it's someones idea of being 'tidy'

I wish I'd been faster taking that shot, that was the tail end of the exchange. I love the extended family mod. I put it on to stop parents heartfarting their grown children's spouses, but that is a lovely side benefit.
My last hood was constant slaps, fights and bad reputations and this one is all hugs and kisses and BFF's. I guess if I tire of the sweetness I can jump over to the other one and vise versa.

The only thing we could think of was that I used songs in some of my songs, and someone must have mentioned it to Slideshare. I have everything saved though, and one day when I have more time, I'll extract the kids. I've sorted all the elders and adults, but as the youngest Psych, Max, is still a baby, it means I have to load up the old, glitchy, lagging game on my old laptop one more time if I want to get all the kids at once. Not looking forward to that!

Yeah, I had to re-read the manual when I upgraded Gimp, I'm getting there now I think, but I keep pressing buttons where the old ones used to be and getting confused.

I love the idea of having a nice and a mean neighbourhood. Mine are pretty mixed at the moment, it's lovely to allow sims to just not get along if they want, it's been a while since I've left relationships to develop on Free Will.
