Yep, you're right Esme, Amaryll made Serabhim's skins into a default replacement for the Servo here. They also come in Silver in this thread, in Pinketamine's second post. It took me ages to decide between gold and silver, in the end I think the gold suits my game more at the moment. Jo, I don't tend to run businesses in sims as they usually stress me out and feel too much like work. Although ironically this one pretty much ran itself, it was very easy once I got it right.

Thank you! Aw, the silver is a 4shared link. Those never work for me. I have another default that I have yet to put in, because I have yet to have any active servos in this rebuild, so maybe it doesn't matter too much...

I wouldn't touch a 4shared link. I don't understand why anyone uses it. It's too easy to click the wrong link as the site wants you to sign up and download their program. My antivirus protests and the one time I turned it off I got a web browser hijacker and still no file!

How strange, 4shared has always been fine on my internet, it's Media Fire that's always caused me problems. Pop ups on every single download on there. Pinketamine's Terms of Use are very open, she says people can share her files everywhere if they give credit and it's not on a paysite, so I could upload the silver one to my box if you wanted it? I've made 2 sims this week, hoping to share them in the GoS sim challenge for this month. ;D

You know, I'll take you up on that! Thank you! Worth a try to see how they fit in. I haven't played much, or gotten much writing done either. It's my gaming group -- everyone else thinks that six hours is a good length for a session, and seven is better. (I'd prefer maybe two or three, but the game has a real tendency to ramble.) I'm hoping to fix that tomorrow.

Wow, 6 or 7 hours straight? I'll tell you the way I play ...loads lot and cleans kitchen, pops back plays 5 minutes... "Mum!" go to sort out trouble, remembers laundry... comes back and plays 15 minutes... kids need lunch, phone rings, goes to check boards...oh must post on that, puts game back up, plays 10 minutes and so on and so forth. A good long run for me would be half an hour. Dh and ds left for their boys long weekend trip. If I didn't have this rotten cold I would have gone downtown with dd, but it's cold and I'm going to stay inside nice and warm and play sims. Since I gave her sims 2 base game we will both probably play sims and actually really play for some time. No cleaning today except what I really have to do. I'm going to go load my game and wash my hair now and hope that it doesn't make my cold worse. :/

Hope you have a nice time with DD, Jo. Esme, the file is here, you'll need both files in the zip for it to work, but if you have a Servo replacement already, then you'll have the main file. I've called it 'For Esme' as I don't want everyone downloading something that isn't my file.

Amy, I don't have a servo replacement already, so thanks for including both files! Now I just need to have someone build a servo so I can try this out... Jo, the six or seven hours is a Dungeons & Dragons session, not a Simming session. Sorry I wasn't clear. When it's summertime, I only play for an hour at a time so my graphics card doesn't overheat. Of course, that's an hour at a time per computer, and I can switch back and forth if I want... >.> It sounds like you have a good day planned with DD, and I hope your cold gets better! EDIT: Aaaaaaarrrrrrghhhhhh! I hate ghosts! I hate the Social Worker! I hate my game! I hate it hate it hate it! And I can't even cheat to fix it! Well, crap. Now I have to figure out how to fix it, that's all. EDIT 2: Fixing it didn't fix it! Even cheating didn't fix it! AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAugh! Sorry. No more from me on this today.

Esme! Tell us what happened, maybe we can fix it together.

My heir got scared by ghosts three times in a row, and even quitting without saving and using cheats wasn't enough to stop the social worker coming and she took ALL the kids. Okay, no problem, I can have the family adopt and get them back, right? Wrong! When I had them adopt, they got a complete stranger, not any of their own kids. Not to mention that someone else got scared to death not once, but twice in the same night. I have a poll up on my LJ about what I should do now. (Besides scream, I mean.) EDIT: And the poll is now closed because Jo is made of awesome and helped me figure out that the whole thing was probably corrupt and I needed to restore from backup. So that's what I will do, and I'll have to replay a total of maybe two and a half days among three households. Sorry for being so hysterical!

Not that awesome, really. And I'd have been doing hysterical cartwheels as well because my last backup was over 3 weeks ago! So thank you to Esme for reminding me to go make a new backup!

Ditto, my last back up was 2 weeks ago and I've made 2 sims and built 4 buildings since then! Backing up now. Glad you both got it sorted, that sounds awful Esme. I'm glad I haven't got any ghosts in my games at the moment, they seem to do nothing but cause problems. I'd have been hysterical too, last time something bad happened to my old game I made the thing worse by panicking! I managed to extract a couple more sims from my old games yesterday, from my Good Genes challenges, and found out just how badly corrupt my old game was (Strangetown in particular). My goodness, I'm amazed it even ran! I am never playing that old game again, it's an absolute mess! Luckily the sims I wanted were fine.

Even when you have the fixes and know not to do VBT it's still so easy to corrupt. I know I caused problems with animals that create NPC's but who knows what else. I need to look into using Mootilda's hood checker but I'm scared what it will say.

I think it was the WYDC that did the worst damage to my old Strangetown. Lyra was boolpropped pregnant with waaay too many sims that aren't meant to breed! That and the ghosts being stupid. I'm still amazed by how fast my current game goes, and the fact that nothing is wrong with it! Yesterday, I made a house in Bluewater for Chester Gieke and put some of my old sims into the new game. I also spent some time on Elsa's kitchen (the sim on the right in my signature), but I love it: I always decorate the kitchen of a sim's house first, still no idea why.

That looks lovely and homey with a slightly 50's vibe. Yah for fast bug free games! Well you know I don't touch boolprop (just seeing you all having babies with all those characters made me ) and my WYD is the same hood as my OWBC and it's my most messed up hood.
