I have noticed several members who pop in on occasion, apparently looking around, and then leave. I would just like to say... don't be afraid of us! We are all actually very nice and friendly folk. 
We don't bite.
It is my hope that one day you will decide to drop in and jump into one of the many fun conversations we have going on here. Don't worry if a thread may seem confusing. Heck, even I get lost sometimes!

Well then just pop in and create your own. Here, you don't have to worry about feeling invisible or ignored... believe me, soon your thread will have TONS of replies, even if it winds up veering 40 miles from the original subject!
Want to know or say something specific to The Sims? Visit our Sims Discussion board desirablediscourses.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sims and put in your two cents. There are several interesting threads from which to choose. We could also use more though.
Just looking for a good story to read? Check them out here desirablediscourses.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=stories (hmmm, maybe that's what you're doing while lurking? If so, read on! lol). There are several links to really good stories on The Exchange as well as some good non-sims stories and links, poetry too.
