Wow - to think that what she told him that night made such an impact on Alex - upset him to that point...it makes me wonder if he finally grew a heart after all.
Jay Jay is a doll, and I can't wait to see if Trent will ever call, and what's going to happen with Alex!!!

I love how much you read between the lines in each chapter and work out exactly what happened. I'm guessing that what Alex heard upset him a great deal, to cause an accident.  Of course Alex is smexy I wouldn't have it any other way hehe |

Thanks I was a little worried this chapter wasn't as amazing as the previous ones have been. I'm pretty excited that Alex rescued Jasper, now to see Kayleigh's reaction to it all, and if she will even consider letting him explain his side of it all.  |

 ~ Kim, I know that things that threaten your life can cause a drastic life change,for better or worse, I would say Alex,was a good out come seeing he is fighting fire & saving lives!
~ And I would say he has redeemed himself,by saving his own sons life!
~ He most definitely has grown-up!
~ Can not wait for more,I am sitting on the edge of my seat!(with the threat of falling of immanent!lol!)

Oh, I loved this Kim. It was marvelous. I love seeing Kay and JayJay interact. I hope they'll stay this close even when he's a teen.
What a surprise there at the end. I didn't see this one coming since he was fighting for his life the last time we saw him. I guess they have a lot to talk about. I give him 5 points for saving JayJay's life, but the other five will be awarded on how he acts and behaves from here on.

Great chapter. Thanks Val, it is sweet that they are really close now, especially after how they were when he was born.
Well, a lot can happen in a year, he was only in a coma for a month, and we have yet to find out how he felt before and after the accident, especially with hearing with what Kayleigh had to say about how he treated her. I guess he must be doing something right to be slowly getting in your good books lol ;D |

I have chapters ten and eleven written, just need to take the pictures and then I can publish. Will probably put chapter ten up within the next couple of days, and chapter eleven a few days after that |

~ Kim,this was heart wrenching, I cried & cried,& that was before the song "The Reason"which I must say fitted the story,to a 'T'!
~ I hope Alex means what he says(I have a feeling that what she said that night riped him to shreds,& hence the accident,he actually had his epiphany before the accident!His personal wake-up call hit him twice!)
~ I am so glad,something good came out of that very messed-up night!
~ The hardest part for him is to gain trust,just to be allowed in his sons life!
~ And to prove that he is not going to run away at the first sign of trouble,to stand by them & protect them,& when he is allowed, to love them,as he always has,but knew, he was not good enough too!
~ This will be a learning curve for all three,as they are but strangers,they need to get to know each other all over again,& his son,to know him for the first time,to learn to share his mother!
~ Loved it,you wrote this with a lot of feeling!Thanks Kim!(",) ~ That would be great,I really need to know what happens next, I am so glad you are able to keep up with this!

How in the world did you get me to root for Alex???
It was so wonderful to see Kayleigh pull herself together when we all thought she was a lost cause, and now it looks like Alex did the same. Redemption is such a wonderful thing, and you made it more so.
I also loved that she kept him at arms distance, making sure to keep back and let him know his son, but I love more that he's vowed to in her back!
Go, Alex!!!!
