You un-installed the right thing, but before you start patching, you need to re-install it. Is the link above to the new one still not working for you?

Is the EA installer the Launcher or the EADM?

~It is [glow=red,2,300]EADM[/glow] The [glow=red,2,300]Electronic Arts Download Manager[/glow] Not the Launcher,the Launcher is the thing on your desk top when you start up your game, you can sort your stuff out in there or go to your Sims3 page or the store or go into your game!
~ The link take me to an EA page with the header "About Blank" then I get a bleep from my PC saying the page is unsecured,& I need to override my security to view,I have done that but the page is indeed blank!

Thank you Jilly,that did the trick,I have the new EADM from your link, I had been doing other stuff & did not get back to this,but now I have no excuse but to fix my game!

EA must have fixed the EADM as now it is Black & Orange,with the EA in the black part of the top of the circle/disk & on the bottom in the orange bit an arrow,it is now labeled as the EA-Download Manager,so I think the have sussed that peeps were confused!
~ I am surprised that they actually fixed something!

I got Barnacle Bay today. It's beautiful you guys, why didn't you all tell me? It's so perfect for storytelling. I mean the location of course, I know nothing about pirates so I wouldn't even attempt to weave that into the story

I was going to mention it the day it was on sale in the simstore - New Years day, I think, but no one seemed interested. I HATE that you can't go inside the venues, but now with LN, maybe someone can use that shell of a pirate ship diner and make if a place you can actually be inside! I hope you post some pictures - I'd love to see what you're doing with yours!

Did you get the Pirate set that goes with it but is sold separately?

Lord, it has been awhile since I have been inside this thread!

Yeah, Jill, actually I was planning to post that I just saw a couple of days ago that it is now coming out on a disc. Actually I have downloaded the digital version.... but I found it for free at maty. I haven't tried to install yet, though, so I don't know how well it will work, if at all.

Damn EA... it seems to me that they are getting more and more money hungry, putting freaking neighborhoods up for sale!
