Life fruit works like the elixer in S2 - eating one extends your sim's life by a couple of days each. If you use them in Ambrosia (You have to buy the recipie) it will set the life bar all the way back to the begining of the current age (the start of being a YA if they're already a YA) OR if you feed Ambrosia to a ghost, they become real again.
