Thought i'd share some pictures and observations I have had about The Sims 3. I built this Sim Susie Hoyt. She meet Gage...something or other... He kept showing up at her work and following her around. They became friends. *this is one of the things that completely irritates me. When someone discovers a hack that turns social decay off, let me know. Married and Preggers. Her LTW, or whatever they call it now, is to have 5 kids. OK, well photobucket is FREAKING OUT right now, so more later. I agree with everyone that they look better than the pictures show. edit: here's Peter hoyt as toddler As you can see she is expecting kidlet #2. Paul Hoyt Peter as child cuteness So this is as far as I have got.

Everyone but me is already getting married and having babies! I guess I like to take things more slowly...lol. Holley, there is a reward that you can get that stops social decay, I think, but you have to build up enough points to buy it. This not such a feeble attempt. Thanks for sharing!

Everyone must get way more time to play then me, child already?! I did change my age setting so they are only babies for 3 days now. I guess if I had kept playing my first simself family there eldest would be a child.
Can you change their clothes? Like get them new ones. I don't like what my ice cream toddler has on.

Holley, it's either a reward you get with points, or from getting so many charisma skill points. I thing there may be both. Yes, Jo, you can change their clothes. If I remember correctly, you just click on the dresser with the toddler selected.

Yeah, clothes are free and customizable (word?) Just select the Sim, click on the dresser and choose Plan Outfit. It takes you to CAS and you choose up to three outfits. So three everyday, three swimsuits, etc. you can change them whenever.
I really like the customizable feature. you can really make thing unique!

Yes, customizable is a word. lol
I also wondered how you could 'buy' new clothes. My simself's boyfriend had the ugliest outfits!

As far as decay goes, if you're a dirty cheater like me, you can pull down the cheat window (shift+control+C) and type in testingcheatsenabled true and enter. Once that's enabled, you can just click on the slide bar of any relationship and slide it all the way to the right. Also in this mode, you can shift+click on the mail box, and select "make all happy". Then do it again and select "make needs static". All moods will stay maxed until you leave the game, or type in testingcheatsenabled false .I've been using this while training toddlers, and it's AWESOME!!! (and yes, they can still be potty trained even though their bladder meter is full. It takes about 3 tries.) *cheater hides in Jo's bag.* And I love your simmies - they're cute!

Thanks Jill for the cheats. I hate doing the friend thing in this game it takes FOREVER. At least you don't have to make friends to earn promotions, like in TS2. I just bought the Friend aspiration reward.
I don't mind the motive decay, I'm with Tina on that, but the making friends irks.

The mailbox will also make friends for you. The dresser function is SO much better now - just like the old hacked coatrack, but better, because of the pattern options!

Yeah, that is really cool! I was confused at first by the three clothing choices without having to go into CAS every time, but I figured it out...lol
I actually don't find making friends that hard in this game either, just keep using different friendly interactions over and over. Soon, you have a friend! Also, if your sim gets enough guitar skill to perform for tips, everyone who starts watching will become friends with your sim. I think I had a sim make friends with someone who was watching once just by playing, without performing for tips.
