Hi everybody, sorry it took so long, but good ole EA screwed up there Patches Again!!

Yeah I've been seeing people with glitches like not being able to save on BP. One of the mods there said to using 'Save as' is the only thing that works for her.

So what happened near the end? It was going too fast. was he standing on water? Also do they have to complete all the tasks to be able to have a holiday. IMO that is one of the dumbest things EA has added. Fun if it was optional but a pain in the butt if it's mandatory for every holiday you take.

So you went on vacation, it ended before you finished your adventure, then it wouldn't let you save it??? ARG!!!! Typical EA!

Sounds like Lynda also needs to delete a .bad saves file/folder.

Think so? I don't know what happened with her patch issue earlier, but the "Save as" issue seems to be a WA bug from what I'm seeing on the boards. I wonder if it's the same thing...Lynda & Sawyer, can you check for a file in your "saves" file that has the word "bad" in it?

Well, when you use the 'Save as', you have to rename the hood, so that is just creating a new saved game file. That works too, but then if you don't delete the old file/folder from 'Saves', you'll end up having a pile of crap in that folder that is no good.

I think Lynda has the same problem with the patches as you had with the last one... she probably forgot to remove all those mods she has installed first. Like I said in my new patch thread:

If you don't take out the mods when you install a patch/EP, it makes the game go 'WTF?', and it can screw up a lot things. I've never had any problems with ANY of the patches, except for a weird thing of my lastest saved game I've been playing disappearing. But.. it wasn't a really big deal because I made a backup on my desk top before installing, so I just put the file back in the folder. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Tina you are right as always!! I didn't put my folders on my DT, thank goodness I didn't have those camera mods in there! EEK, god only knows what that would have done!!

The thing is when I went to Save, it came up with a ERROR #16, and couldn't save, so I just Quit without saving. I spent all day yesterday doing that Adventure! Growl!

I haven't been back into my game yet today, so I don't know if the new Patch ~ Today fixed the saved problem? It's huge though! Did you see the Pics of Mark arriving home from his VAC? That is from the save issues from EA! I thought it was my fault at first, but then I realized that I don't have anything as far as CC that would do something like that.

Jo, no they don't have to even do a task if you don't want them to.
It took me 4 Hrs to do just the little bit of Pic spam I could get for France! What ever EA did to this Expansion Pack really is something else! I know I have allot of CC, but my game was running in clips. Like frame, after Frame!

I just pushed my computer, so I could gather as many pics as I could! ;D At least I know that I can now accomplish a task!!

Stuff like that happens when you don't remove your mods when installing patches/EPs. It's NOT good to leave them in for that.

You need to look inside your 'Saves' folder and see if you have a file with .bad at the end. If you look toward the right, you will a list of the file types. If you have a bad one, it will say 'BAD File'. If you have that, you need to have your game on and drop it to the desk top with alt/tab and then open that folder and delete the bad file. Then your game should save normally, unless something else has gone wrong because of installing EPs without removing your mods first.

I Looked, I don't have a file like that? All the files look just fine! I think it was the first patch which screwed everything up, and then EA had to scramble to fix there screw up!

All my other hoods are perfect, it's just the one that I sent Mark on Vac.

I can cut my DCBackup, which is 1.02GBS, and through that on my DT, but is that the right file?

It seems that with this new EP, all my files are in weird places, and I noticed that there double files, Files with the same name, but have different files in each one?

I have know clue whats going on, but I can, with your help, fix this problem! Thank You Tina!!

Yay, I have noticed that our smiley extras are not working.

Now I only have to refresh every 5 or 6 times I turn a page!
So big avatars must have been the problem.

I still get this on my bottom bar " Done, but with error on page.

I've had that message since I got this Vista! I just refresh, and it goes away until I go to another page? I figured I would let you know! Time to snooze, type more in the morn!

I've been getting that 'error on page' thingy too lately. It must be proboards problem. I fixed the smilies 'cause it was driving me bonkers. That's why I'm still up.

Lynda, I really don't know that I can be of much help to you with your game, since you have WA and I don't. I have ALL the patches and rarely have any problems, but I don't have a whole heap of cc like you do either.

I have been playing since I got this game and never had a problem until I decided to download some cc hair. I've only had that about a week and just a few days ago, I got my first 'save error'.

I firmly believe that a lot of the trouble is CC related.

Since I don't have a .bad file, I should remove all the cc hair I put in last weekend and try that.

It wouldn't hurt. As I said above, I never had ANY problems until I installed a bunch of cc hair last week. Maybe some of that is causing these problems that are cropping up. Actually, you could try removing your whole mods/packages folder and try running the game to see how it does.
