You can, if you want to keep the sims living on it to play again sometime. I was thinking you wanted to keep a copy of just your lot. You could do it with sims on it and then make a 'new hood' by starting a new game and then evict them. If you pick the right options, the furniture should stay in the house. Then save a copy to the library and then you could just delete the house with the sims in it. We don't have the sames issues with this game as with TS2 because there are no wants and fears to dangle and no memories of other sims to corrupt your game.

I've been wondering about that. I've been saving some of my fav simmies from my game, but didn[t know if the memories would be a problem. I missed poor Cornilia Goth - she died before I save a copy of her!  I can't believe I missed this thread! Sawyernator my butt - more like the Impregnator! Lol!!! I just want a copy of the lot, not the sims. But I really can't think straight now, this med has knocked me out.

 @jill! Well, Jill, you probably still have her alive in one of those versions of your game. If not, you can just start a new game and get one.  Jo, all the instructions are in this thread in the simplest terms I can make them. Just wait until you have a clear head and read over them again. It's not difficult to follow them when your brain is functioning clearly.

You do know that the game just randomly gives children, toddlers, and especially babies to randomly assigned parent or parents if available.
