>hehe< Same here. How long does band camp normally last? I think next time I will have to set him down as a brother. That'll keep you all under control. Has anyone else had Sawyer in a simself house?

Not yet...lol. I'm going to put him Simselvania when I start playing simselves there, though. Once I start playing the simselves, I don't plan to switch away from them, though. I'm playing in there right now, with some of my celebrity sims I made. I want to get them established for I put the simselves in. I'm also making a 'park' for the simselves. They are going to start out homeless!

So how do you get a large bare block of land? I can only see one in each hood, how do I get that to the bin so it's reusable. I don't know why they didn't add bare blocks like in TS2.
Maybe next time I will have to put the female simselves in a house with a few hunky celebs next time. ;D

That's what I would do too. Yes and Sawyer has to be away at band camp right now. Sue I'm sure she isn't dull. I'll have to put you and Jilly in the game too. I played my simself for 12 hours the other day. So, yeah, I can say she is dull, just like my TS2 simself.

Sue, maybe she just needs to get together with some of the crazier simselves to show her the ropes! Jo, I imagine saving on of the larger lots would work the same way as 'sharing' a lot you built with a house on it. You just click the 'share' button, but when it goes to the launcher, you don't actually upload it. There is a tab that says 'view file'. If you click that, it will open the folder where you saved the lot. Then just copy and paste it to your desktop. Once the Sims3pack file is on your desktop, just double click it and it will install into your game. From there, you should see it in the list of available lots in 'edit town' mode. Only problem with that is, I think, large lots only fit into a space that is large. I think that Riverview has more empty lots and more bigger ones too. Also, I think, the reason they didn't give us the ability to plop lots down anywhere has to do with room for 'expansion'. The expansions that come out will have to be handled differently than TS2, so I think EAxis will be changing the landscape soon enough.

And where is the 'share' button? I had a hard time clicking around figuring how to change active household, because of course I couldn't remember how from the first time I did it.

And where is the 'share' button? I had a hard time clicking around figuring how to change active household, because of course I couldn't remember how from the first time I did it. When you are in 'edit town' mode and click on a lot, a box pops up just like when you switching households. If you mouse over all the buttons at the bottom of that box, you'll see 'share'. It looks like a little arrow pointing up. It's the third one in the row. If you click it, another box pops up. telling you that all the current actions in your town will be canceled, do you want to continue? Just click the check mark. Another box will pop up with the name of your lot, that you can change if you want.with a description. Just click the check mark again. Then the game will say it's processing. The next pop-up box will tell you that it was a success... blah, blah, blah...lol Open your launcher to share. So, go into your options panel and choose, 'open launcher' You should see your lot at the very top in the launcher. Put a check mark in the box and then choose, 'show file'. The first time I did it, it took me straight to the folder the file was in. Now when I click it, it just points to my 'documents' folder. If it does that to you, just open your documents folder. Open your sims 3 folder, and then open your 'exports' folder. Now you should see the lot by the name you gave it. All you have to do is cut and paste it to your desktop, or you may be able to leave it there, but it's really useless unless you want to upload it to the exchange. Then double click on it to install it into your game. Then you should see it in the list of vacant lots to place. NOTE: You have to actually build something on it to see the 'share' button. A totally empty lot does not have one.

I found share, but I have my legacy family living on it. I can't move them. I guess if I made a sim, moved her onto a place then moved house I would have the option to place a block, then I could move her elsewhere then save the block. Does that make sense? I don't get why they didn't just have blocks with the houses on edit town. It was a basic feature of TS2.

If it's your legacy lot you want to make a copy of, you can save it anyway, with the sims on it. It won't affect the playing lot in any way. It will just make a copy of the lot, sims included. Then.. Once you save using the above method and get the lot into your game, it will show in the occupied lots section, or in the sim section, only it will have an icon of a house on it. Then... When you open your game, click the 'new game' option. When it loads, place the lot down somewhere and then evict the family, choosing to 'sell' the furniture if that's an option because it leaves everything on the lot. Then do the 'share' thing again with the empty lot.Then... All you have to do next is exit that hood without saving and it will be like you never created it. Your house should still be in the launcher and in the export folder for you to put back into your game. Once you double click that file, the lot should be with the available unoccupied lots.

You're welcome! It's not rocket science, after all. If it was, we'd BOTH be in trouble!

Hey Jo! Actually, after you have an empty copy of your house placed in your hood, all you have to do is choose, 'save copy to library'. Then you will have a copy in your game to use again sometime.

Can I do that with sims living on it? That does sound easier.
