Using the light up floor tiles?

Tina helped me find them by telling me to look in the NL collection. So I put some down and did the dropper tool on them and guess what Maxis filed them under rugs!
But now I have no clue how to set them or what those numbers mean! Does anyone have a guide that explains these things?

Well they are called 'floor tile' but they can be moved with the hand tool like a rug. Which might be handy for the chapter. As far as I can tell the numbers change the colours, but there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason for how they light up. Maybe thats how they are suppose to be. I was hoping to be able to set the colour. I'll try again tomorrow when I am awake lol. I'm too tired for this.

I think the colors are random. I used them once in a community lot I built.

I must be thinking of the wrong tiles. I don't remember seeing any numbers. I usually use them on a dance floor, and I lay them in a diagonal pattern by color, so no two colors are next to each other. Are you talking about the these? The blue, red, orange, yellow, and green light-up tiles?

The colors are random, but they have different types of light under each no.10 is pastels, were as 1 is solid bright colors, the only way is to play with them, I turn random off & fad on! I find it gives more of the same colors that way,play with them for a bit! I have no idea on the range of colors, because there seems to be an endless succession of colors,what I did was set a line or square of four,of each 'rug' & then try each number/color while playing,(very interesting at night when Sims sleep,you also get a quicker look at the lights & color!or just set on speed 3!)I like these,but still after a lot of use, only the person whom wrote the programing could tell you, & even then they will say it is random!
Sorry I'm not much help! even though I use these Tiles/rugs a lot!What can I say I like shiny things! (& color!)

~PS~ You have to have it in game to test, as they will only be a static red in build mode!And yes they are under 'Rugs' I would have said if you had asked, I play this game ALL the time! to take my mind of RL things,like pain!

Yup. I was thinking of the wrong ones. I'll have to go home & check these out! Are they NL or H&M? With talk of a runway, I would've thought it would've been from H&M.

That's a coffee table Holley! But same kind of thing. Tony clicked on it and had the option to do yoga on it.

Typical Maxis give us a heap of choices and none really usful ones.

Ok karima I will try what you said. I'm thinking if a put a lot down I can move around the colours that I want to make a pattern. And just keep moving them around for each picture. I was hoping the colour could be set on each tile but never mind.
