Weird skin again

I'll put a picture up when I am awake, but how do two maxis skin parents wind up with a baby with a custom skin? It happened to both of Og's babies and now in another one of my challenge families they just had twins and one had a cc skin! I should probably just dump most of them as I don't like the majority of cc skins and certainly not on babies.

Wow, I have no clue how that would happen, Jo. It's never happened to me, but then again, I don't have tons of babies in my game.

I can't tell what's maxis & what's cc half the time. Unless there's some extreme stand out difference, I wouldn't know unless someone told me! I have a ton from all the sims I downloaded. Once Tina taught me to use CI, I stopped putting in most of them, but there's still plenty from before that - or if I thought it might affect the way a sim looked, then I left it in. The pics of the last baby looked fine to me. I wouldn't mess with it myself.

Jo, remember how I changed Nicoli's skin I edited the YA,adult, so all the other skins were untouched by me, you will probably find that with most skins, & even though your baby or toddler looks like they have different skin it will be like the parents when they get to that age as it sounds like you have some edited skin! it is a very BIG job to change all the skins in one file! a lot of peeps just change what they need to be changed & forget about the other files, if I was releasing the Nicoli skin to the general public I would edit all the skins!but that is just me!

As soon as he toddlerfied I changed it with my change skin painting. It was a cc skin alright. I can always tell because I hate the look of them! Not trying to put anyone else sims down, it's just my personal preference. At least I can still do that in CAS. I just don't understand how it can happen to Maxis skin parents.

Karima, it was definitely not the parents skin. I was sure to give them skin 1 and skin 2 maxis as I made them in cas. When he toddlerfied I was like eww! What a relief I know how to quickly change skins!

Um what? His skin was maxis with tattoos wasn't it? It looked like it. If not it was very, very close.

I think I will go in to cas and delete all those I don't like. Sorry if one is on anyone's simself.

I meant it is a very big job to change all the files for one skin! ie:baby to elder, you have to change or edit every one!(depending how they are changed,tattoo's or skin colour!ex-cetera!)thats seven skins in each file!

You didn't make Nicoli a baby skin I hope? That would be extra work for no reason. I see what you mean about a file for teen, YA, adult and elder though. I hadn't thought further then YA. O_0

That did not include the different body types,(fat,soft & fit!) which if you change them all for consistency, each file has twenty one skins,that is a lot of work!!!!

Thankfully, Nicoli, needed less work done!

It shows up more in game then on the photo, but yes it was enough to make me go urg when I saw it. I took way more pictures of his twin brother. Did I mention he was a twin? That makes it even more weird.

Should I put some pics up from this challenge? I'll find one of his brother anyway. I think he's super cute.

Here are the two doing an autonomous cuddle! They grew up, got put on the floor and this was the first thing they did! So cute.

No, another challenge! I'm really bad at starting a million different challenges. This is another challenge that I made up called the 'Good Luck Competition' Slacko name. I've been wondering if I should write the rules to this or put up some picspam.
