Here's the closest thing to an update on the BBS... (the simmer above this one referenced the original post where they mentioned "sporatic" problems)

"sporadic" also doesn't apply to 23 sims posted to Exchange in all of today, with at least 6 by the same user . . . Successful uploads may be more appropriately called sporadic, (even those that have nothing to do with Spore). I need to double check for commonalities among the posters who succeeded. EDIT: aside from one person wh has seasons and apartment life, the posters only use the basegame. Due to the exception and that most ppl only have the basegame, this is unlikely to be the issue. Also, it seems that 4 ppl are responsible for all of today's posts, if they have been able to post all day, their computers or sims may have something in common...

I am sorry but there is no further information publicly available. Yes the development team is aware of the problem and working to fix it. The information about it being addressed will not be available for public consumption until the fix is enacted. The best way to know when the fix is enacted is to keep checking back on the exchange occasionally. I am sorry but there is no further information available.

People are uploading sims but so far there hasn't been any stories...

That post said only 23 sims were uploaded that day. 23 sims from all the simmers in the whole world? And 6 of those were by the same simmer!

Further in, they're saying that Sims3 will be unmoddable - and that the paysite TheSimsResource (TSR) is the only site given access to the modding tools. Also, the only way you get exclusive downloads like an extra hood is from internet access established from logging on to the sims3 from the game during startup. Meaning, no cd cracks, the thing everyone uses to get around the suckyrom will stop you from getting this free bonus content.
As far as that goes, I'm sure all the free sites will be able to access and pass on the free bonus content, as well as the cc created by TSR. It will only be a matter of time. It just astounds me that they're working so hard to alienate the customers that made them rich.

There is one saying they're aware of the problem and are workingon it. How hard could it be? I think they are just full of crap and are not bothering with it yet.

Actually I care. I only have about two chapters worth left to my story and I'd LOVE to be able to upload it to the exchange. After that, it can break forever for all I care. I'd just like to have the final two chapters in the same place as the rest. *sniff*
