Yay, Don Lothario! (I downloaded him, too!) I tried to put some of those simlish songs they give you by famous people on the exchange, but I couldn't figure out how to make them play! Thanks to your awesome tutorial, now I now where to go! I have one by Bare Naked Ladies, Natasha Bettingfiled, and the latest one. (someone I don't know). There's been others, but I can't think of them.

Holley, NO monsters??? Not even VAMPS??? I couldn't imagine my game without them! (Although I cheat on the vamnps - I make vampy-looking sims, but don't actually make them vamps, because they're so hard to keep alive!
I have only played a sim that died of old age once. It was Polination Tech's wife. I boolPropped him back to adulthood, then remarried him to a pure alien woman to increase my alien population. I don't like the green skinned, regular featued aliens, I like the huge black eyed, noseless kind!

Ok... I do have a house FULL of Vampires from Gillian's challenge... that are sitting there.... I pop in and play them occasionally, but they aren't any fun cause like you said they are sooooo hard to keep alive. i wish they just "sparkled" in the sunshine

Isn't that funny, I never play Pleasantville except for the first look around. The only Maxis hood I have ever really played was Strangeville but most the time I play my own hoods.

I've never really gotten into playing in Veronaville much. I messed around a bit and that was it. I played in strangetown for my first story... the email challenge because... well that was strange. Did the same for 'An Immortal's Dream'. Now I'm playing in Pleasantview for my current story, but it's the Bluewater district.

I downloaded and played the tutorial hood for a while and was interesting....lol..

Also I have no problems at all keeping vamps alive. I never send them to work though and I have never played a teen or young adult vamp that HAD to go out in the day for any reason. I also have a hack installed that lets vamps be like normal sims in the day as long as they're inside the house. I've always found it stupid that even if they are in a dark basement or something, they still loose stats extra-quickly as if they were in the light.

I would be VERY interested in that hack. It would make them a bit more fun to play. Where did you get it?

It's by Monique at MTS2, but she hasn't updated her stuff there for a while. I think the one I have now comes from Insimentor.net, but the site seems to be down right now so I can't give a direct link to it. If you can't find it later or have trouble, I'll upload the file I have to my box.net account and you can grab it from there.

So far, the one I have isn't causing any problems in my game so hopefully it won't in anyone eles's either.

I'm also intrigued...Does it change their appearance? Does it just keep their daytime stats from deteriorating? Tell us more! I always just have my rejuvenation chamber in their basement lair with them, which I only play without for challenges. I built them a special house once, with only 1 door & no windows. 3 floors, and I'd take the door off during the day to keep them from straying out.
Way too much work to enjoy them! That's why I just started making them look vampy, but keeping them human.

What that hack does is allow their stats to go down normally in the daytime as long as they are indoors, but they will still burn in the sun. I like it because it's more realistic to me that way, at least as realistic as you can be with vamps.

Carrigon at Sims2Workshop, though, has a daytime vamp hack that keeps their stats up even outside in the sun, but to me that one is a bit too much of a cheat. I mean, a vamp has to have some vulnerablities somewhere, you know?

So you guys have a choice of either one of those to satisfy your 'vampy' needs...
