They are still predicting more water. Even when it stops here it comes down from the mountains.

 I'm OK,but Jo is near the Flood being in the Toowoomba area,I am worried about my sister too,she is in Ipswich,it is flooded there too!  ~ I am higher up,but it never floods here because the ground is hilly!(it is not flat like the places that have flooded! I survived 1974 floods,it was a lot off swimming!lol!) ~ I can not contact my sister because they have turned all the power off in Ipswich!

I'm fine.  I am in one of the better areas of the town, which is why the evacuation centre is down the road and the chopper relief takes off at the truck area across the road from us. Thing sure is noisy, it's warming up right now. karima, thoughts and prayers to your sister, does she have a mobile? I just rang my Dad and the water is still about the same, near the top of his lower step. Bit too early yet to try and ring my friend. I wasn't saying her name in case she wouldn't want to be known, but I just remembered she has a picture up on a Gymboree message board. Her name is Leanne and her post is the second down on this thread: www.gymbofriends.com/international-gymbofriends/1023118-leanne-spenderella.html With a picture of her three daughters. I think I said two. Oops, forgetting the baby! Sorry Savannah! Brisbane, Ipswich and Toowoomba are worse off than us. Dad was telling me more about that wall of water, I kind of wish he hadn't. It even destroyed some houses. |

No,no mobile,but she had to go to Cains,(mother-in-law lives there,so maybe she is sick!) but my Niece is looking after the house while she is away,so know I am worried for Jade!!!!! ~ I will go on FB to see if there is an messages!
