A Note from Tina:

I'm SO sorry I haven't been around DD lately, but it seems that something new is always cropping up around here. As if dealing with my mom's health issues isn't enough, it seems I can't get away from my own either.

My right thumbnail started acting up again, so I went to have it removed one more time, and the doc decided to get an x-ray of it. It turns out I have a bone infection...ack! So, since last thurs, I've been having to go for daily IV anti-biotic treatments. What a pain! I also have to see a bone specialists this week for him to look more closely at the matter. It's pretty scary when they bring up the word... amputation. *sigh* I sure hope it doesn't come to that.

All this typing is killing my poor thumb so I'll shut up now...lol. I miss all of you horribly and you are welcome to post an update to everyone if you want. Hopefully I'll be able to pop into DD soon and post a bit. I hope things are going well for you and everyone.

Well, other than that jazz, I had to go for eight straight days to have IV antibiotics injected into my system, they sent me to some other quack who didn't do anything except make me appointments to send me to two other quacks... one of those being an infectious disease specialist... *sigh* I asked them what was the purpose in doing that until I find out if the antibiotics had taken care of the infection first. Brilliant! lol

Anyhow, I still don't know if my mom needs to have IV Chemotherapy, or if the can take it in pill form. I swear, most the of the doctors around here are quacks. Grrrr...

Hopefully I'll be able to get into a better frame of mind soon and start hanging out at DD again. I feel like a complete jerk for not coming around, but I really don't want to spread my mood around the web, if you know what I mean. *sigh*

Words cannot express how much I appreciate you guys 'holding down the fort' for me right now. Please tell everyone I said hello and that I miss everyone terribly. I will do my best to make an appearance to the forum at least one day next week. Thanks again for your concern and well wishes.

Loads of *hugs* to Tina, we miss you too and hope everything gets better in due course. My thoughts are with you, and I hope your thumb gets better and your Mum's health improves. My apologies for all the quacks, I assume it means the same in the US as over here, and I hope in the end one of them is helpful!
Don't feel bad for not being around, you're going through so much right now and we'll always be here when you get back, no worries, no stress. *hugs*

Thanks Jill for posting this, and good idea to put all the well wishes together, hopefully this is easier to find and Tina can see it all whenever she gets time to be on here.

Tina, we miss you stacks too. But don't worry about rushing back here, take of yourself first and when you're good and feel up to hanging out with us again, we'll still be here.

My thoughts and prayers are with you always, and I wish you and your mom a speedy recovery. While you take care of everyone else and everything around you, don't forget to take care of yourself too, and that means no typing for you until the infection in your thumb clears. We want you to come back in one piece so you can give us more of Nellie's adventures ;D

Thank you so much, my friend. *giant hug* I am SO sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I know it must seem as if I have abandoned you, and everyone else at DD, but I promise you that even though I haven't been around the forum in ages, I think about it and you guys all the time!

I am always planning to make an appearance over there to post an update about what is going on with me, but I just haven't made it happen for some reason or other. I do miss y'all and the way things used to be horribly and I keep hoping to get back into more of my usual routine, but I haven't been able to make that happen either. It seems the longer I stay away, the harder it is to 'enter the room', so to speak. I feel terribly guilty for not keeping in better touch with everyone. My mom definitely has cancer and has now had her second chemo treatment. With everything going on, and the holidays quickly approaching, I have never felt more devastated in my entire life, with said life being a long and devastating one. *sigh*

Please feel free to make a post to let everyone know that, while I am not at my best, I am still walking the earth and breathing...lol. I am going to do my best to pop into to DD sometime this week to post an update about what is going on with me. I also want to let you know that I received the wonderful 'gift' y'all took the to create for me and that it touched my heart in ways that words cannot begin to express. Darn y'all for making me cry! At this point, I do not feel that I am deserving of such a tribute, especially since I feel as if I have buried my head in the sand and am having a hard time pulling it out again.

Thank you (and everyone) again for being there for me, even though I don't feel I deserve it, I feel honored to know such awesome people as the members of DD. I love and miss you, and I hope to see y'all very soon.

Sorry for making you cry, and I'm truly sorry about your mom. Wish there was a way to lighten the weight on your shoulders and unburden you.

I'm sure I'm starting to sound like a stuck record but you and yours are always in my prayers. Hope you do pop in this week, even if it's just to say hi. Miss you stax.
