At stupid exclusive sites!

Ok this is the email I have but not yet sent.

To whom it concerns,

We have had the free version level one Study Dog that we downloaded some years ago when it was free and thought we would now purchase volume two.
However there is no option on countries except America and Canada. Being an online option I would assume this is meant to be buyable by everyone. If this is not the case perhaps you could make it clear before that stage that this is an exclusive product for Americans and Canadians only.

Rant!:
it's fair enough for them to only have the DVD available to Americans and Canadians, but I am trying to buy the online version. Like hello!!! online involves other countries as well! It really annoys the heck out of me when American sites seem to ignore the rest of us like we don't exist, or maybe they think we are all third world countries too poor the internet. And if it is an 'exclusive product' then can't they say so on the main page instead of me going around their site trying to figure out how to buy it (That took awhile let me tell you) and when I did figure it out I started filling out the CD form, then when I saw that wouldn't work switched over to the online form before finding out I can't complete that either. >Steams from ears<

That really sucks! I'd sign it annoyed Aussie - what are they gonna do? Deny you AGAIN? Did you see if there's a second hand way to pruchase this - like from ebay or something?

I haven't checked Jilly, but I doubt anyone over here has the DVD version to sell on ebay because they don't post here.

I just realized I used the word 'free' twice in that email. Oh well, I just signed my name to it and sent it.
I'm kicking myself that I didn't download all three parts back when it was free, but I only grabbed stage one. It's a really good program and both kids like it. Now it costs $60 odd, well if they don't make it available to anyone else it's their loss. I know it uses Americanisms such as 'zee' but that’s ok, it's still English it's not like it's Spanish although even if it was maybe we might want Spanish.

Oh well, I better get back and do some maths with these kids.

You know what THAT SUCKS! Being in the Bahamas I can sympathize, some countries don't even know we exist, sometimes I have to sign up for things and there is every country in the world except the Bahamas. But you know what I hate? Soulja Boy's You Tube Page! I really wanted to see the video for Kiss Me through the Phone and of course that page would have the best quality, but apparently I'm not in any country that's allowed to view the stinking video!

There are probably countries that I have never heard of, but the Bahamas is not one of them. Who hasn't heard of the Bahamas! Goodness me, they need to get an education.
If a company truly wants their items to be available to the World they need a comprehensive list of at least a good portion of countries they think they may possible sell to and then have a little option called 'other' (Not hard people!) So long as a place gets post I don't see the problem.

I've occasionally had the 'not available in your country' thing on YouTube.

But I imagine you would get this kind of thing way more often than I would Pixx.

It's kind of hard for you guys to help unless someone actually purchases the Cdrom online and sends it to me and I send them the money. Unless there is some way the online package can be bought by one of you, uploaded and then I can download it. I can pay by pay pal.

Somehow I don't think I could even do an online purchase in someone else’s name and address because I would be using my credit card and the system would probably have a tizz and recognize it as not being American or Canadian i would think. I'll have to wait and see what they say. Thanks everyone!

Well, I don't see a problem with buying and sending it to you and having you pay me back. As a matter of fact, Harley has a 'pay now' button on his website for people who purchase computers/services from him that you could use if necessary. Just pay the money through that, we'll get the program for you, and send it you.

You'll get it somehow, if you really want and your 'rant' doesn't get you anywhere.

That pay now button is a good idea! So if I use that, is that pay Pal or what? I asume I have to take there $60+ and convert it to AUS dollars first then send whatever that is. Although I would want to know the pstage costs too. I can't believe I got the first part free and now it costs $60!

That's how they get ya! They give out 'special offers' and then make you pay full price for the 'full Monty'!

Yes, it's Pay Pal and I think you can with credit cards too. Pay pal is pretty easy though.

DH wants to know if CD roms are the same from the States as they are here? They don't have different 'plateforms'

How'd I miss this for so long? Anyway, I'm pretty sure cd roms are the same. If they're not, it's a new one on me...lol. The only thing I know that have different platforms are DVDs.

You know what, with being sick I've totally forgotten my email, so I don't know if they have replied or not. Although last time I checked they hadn't. Won't suprise me if they don't.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise either. Companies are REAL quick when it comes to sending out bills, etc, but not so gung ho on giving out a bit of help.
