Holy cow...I just had a night. Well...it started off when my mom started screaming at me because I accidentally put something on my dresser that melted. So she took all my technology away, including my phone. The next thing I knew, she was in my room screaming at me over a text...You see, my friend Toni and I were planning our weddings, and I didn't know that my mom was going to read it...so I typed in that I was getting married to a guy. O.O I told her it was just a joke, but she was like, "How do I know that you're joking? HUH?!" She kept asking and asking and asking if I was gay...I guess I delayed to much one time. And said no, but by that time...it was too late. She knew. I admitted to it. We talked about it until like Midnight (which is why I'm staying home from school today). She told me that she loves me no matter what, even though she thinks I'm just confused. She told me about her gay friends...who she loves. I didn't know that she even had gay friends. I sobbed last night...but I don't know how to feel right now. I don't know what to say. I don't know how to react. I'm happy that she knows...but I also feel so violated. Long story short, I ended up outing myself. She knows I'm gay now. We're going to counseling.

Sawyer, that's good news. (Crappy the way it came about!) You've got to be relieved that there's no more worrying that they'll find out. A good councellor will help you deal with your folks as much as it will help them deal with the news. If you don't like the councellor, get a new one. There's some crappy ones out there, but there's some really great ones, too. I'm sorry it happened the way it did, but it had to help to hear your mom say she loves you no matter what. And don't forget we love you too!

I remember when I was chatting to my friend about the drama. And I typed to her all about my boyfriend and friend issues and how i was so depressed about it. Then i typed to her,"Well, now I'm cutting myself and I don't know what to do anymore!" "Brb," she typed back. She didn't come back for awhile. Then our phone rang.My friend told her mom that i was cutting myself then her mom called my mom and discussed what i had said.my friend didn't come back to talk to me in awhile,so i decided to log off.I sat on my bed and my mom came to sit by me when she was done talking on the phone. "You really scared her." she whispered to me. "Why?Why do you do it?What do you cut yourself with?" "My nails, and once a plastic knife." I was choking back a sob. "I thought we had a better relationship than this. Why didn't you tell me before?" "Because..."Silence drifted over us.Tears trickled down my cheeks."I don't know how to deal with it anymore." She nodded. "Would counsleing...Help?" I bit my lip and shrugged. We talked all night long. She inspected my wrist and i felt her shudder slightly. To tell you the truth,I felt...embaressed that my friends mom had to tell MY mom on that, but it almost felt good that my mom was there to care and willing to help. She called our school consolers and every Saturday morning they would come over and just talk to me.They talk to me about how schools going. If it was good, then they ask what made it good,it it was bad, then they asked what made it bad.On sunny days they would bring me on walks and talk to me.They told me tat digging myself up wont solve anything. You just need to talk. And i did talk, and it helped. What I'm trying to say is all of us have those dark secrets that we hid from our parents for a long time, but sometimes you have to tell them about it sooner or later,or they will find out themselves.Counseling worked for me,and I hope it makes you feel better too Sawyer! We all love ya! Hugs and Kisses,Hopes and Wishes:Haily And i'm not saying that I understand exactly how you felt then, but i may have a slight idea. Once again Sawyer,we all love ya!

That's sad, Haily, but I'm glad things worked out. That's basically the same conversation my mom and I had, just about me being gay instead. Counseling Monday. And yes, she did buy me a piano.
