Jo, i love reading your stories! i know what you mean by putting in all that work and hardley anyone commenting. i feel that way too.

Well if anyone has the time or remembers, a comment to my BP thread is most helpful as it will bump it up. There are so many legacy stories there it quickly gets lost. A lot of the BIG legacys have updated recently. I can't compete with them, some of those have 30 or more readers replying on BP to their thread.

Jo, you worry to much!........if there was a counter on your page, you would soon find that only about a fifth comment, the rest just read it, & mostly because they don't know you, are shy or extremely busy! they sometimes even feel it rude to comment to someone they don't know(some cultures are like that!) Your story has a much bigger following than you know!Besides I love it & it always makes me laugh(Tina's comment about the not drinking is a wise one, as I have choked on coffee from laughing at the wrong time!) & it is always the right mix,so do not worry so much! other wise the fun goes out of it & it becomes a chore!

Not worry, I just get a little disappointed that for being on on BP over a year I have hardly got any new readers. A few yes, and I love them for commenting.  Becuase BP is a very 'commety' place. I guess-know I am not in that inner circle thing. Some people accuse some people on BP of butt kissing. I don't kiss butt. I just do my own thing and always have!  But I'm sure some people do read and not comment, although I don't see why they need to be shy, it's not like I'm hugely popular with 50 replies. I did start a couple of the huge legacey's and never replied because the author was so huge. But I don't think when you get 3/4 of BP commenting that you would miss a few. Although I am even commenting on Candi's (with numbers) two stories now! I admit I was somewhat shy to comment there, given she is the most popular legacy writer. But I felt bad not too as I've read her stuff for years. |

I know it happens because two peeps with totally different stories wrote that they were going to quit, one because he felt like it was becoming a chore & the other because she was disappointed that she had no feed back, the guy got inundated with responses (at last count 892!) so after realizing the following he had, has taken a brake but is going to continue, the girl also was overwhelmed with the amount of people contacting her to tell her not to finish as they would miss not reading her story & updates every week! You just never know!
